TriumphServes This Fall!

Our Triumph team has been busy with handfuls of opportunities to give back to our community through our relationships with STREETS Ministries, Carpenter Art Garden and Binghampton Christian Academy “BCA.” Here’s an overview of our recent engagements with our community partners!

Through our TriumphServes Initiative, we supported our BCA second grade class at the school’s first Family Reading Night on October 30th, where team members had the pleasure of meeting BCA family members! Thanks to our partnership with Agape North, our Senior Vice President of Marketing, Traci Strickland, was able to present all students with brand new long-sleeved BCA shirts they can wear to school. Student groups performed in front of their peers, family and friends of the school to start the night, before breaking into their classrooms for reading-related programs and interactive games with their classmates and family members.

The following day, team members returned to our second grade classroom for the annual Fall Fest class party! Some Triumph team members even dressed in the spirit of Halloween! Together, the team and the kids participated in Fall themed games and reflective Turkey crafts for Thanksgiving. The kids began completing a “Dollars and Sense” packet that quickly became a friendly competition between classmates! Before our goodbyes, team members read stories to the class while the students dug into Halloween cupcakes and delicious snacks.

The last week of October, the teen workers at Carpenter Art Garden met with photographer, Allison Rodgers, and her husband and graphic designer, Jeff Rodgers, to discuss finances and entrepreneurship. The Rodgers emphasized the importance of using free resources when trying out a career path or starting a business in order to maintain an affordable budget. Everyone left the room with a greater understanding of how to allocate resources and a few new tips about photography and design!

Throughout the semester, team members Karey Tate and Christina Anderson have been visiting their elementary school reading buddies at STREETS Ministries. Karey and her buddy are featured in our gallery below!
