William C. Menkel – President – Nashville Market
Executive Vice President – Triumph Bank
A tenured banker, Bill Menkel arrived at Triumph with over 35 years of experience in the banking arena. He began his career at Commerce Union, where he would first meet Will Chase, the current President and CEO of Triumph. At the age of 34, Bill was titled the Nashville President for NBC, where he would lead the market for several years before moving to the headquarters and taking over as CEO for the company. After serving NBC for 20 years, Bill was transitioned to Magna Bank as CEO overseeing both the Memphis and Nashville markets until 2008, when he began consulting with a private firm. Recruited back into a bank leadership role, Bill launched the Nashville market for Metropolitan Bank, in 2012. In 2018, Bill rejoined forces with Will Chase to launch the Middle Tennessee market for Triumph, serving the bank as their Middle Tennessee Market President.
Ellen May – Senior Vice President
Sports and Entertainment Banking
Ellen brings more than thirty years of banking and financial services experience to Triumph. Her line of expertise lies within providing private banking and mortgage lending to her Sports and Entertainment Banking clients nationwide. Ellen caters to these unique clients by providing them the highest level of specialized banking and financial guidance.
Ellen is the recipient of the Diamond Award of Excellence from the Nashville Mortgage Bankers Association. Ellen is also a member of the County Music Association, Academy of Country Music, and the Recording Academy. Believing in the importance of serving others, Ellen serves as a Board member for Horton’s Helpers.
Thomas W. Curl – Senior Vice President – Commercial Banking
Thomas W. Curl serves as Senior Vice President – Commercial Banking for Triumph Bank. In this role, Tom is responsible for providing all financial and banking needs to Commercial Real Estate Clients. Tom joined the Triumph Bank team in October 2019, well-versed in the world of commercial real estate development, construction, and finance after 25 years of experience serving in similar capacities at large national banks. Tom’s career has always been focused around commercial real estate, even before starting his banking career.
Tom serves his clients from Triumph’s Brentwood office. He is a graduate of Miami University of Ohio with a B.S. in Business Management and a graduate of The University of Toledo with an MBA in Finance. Outside of the office, Tom is involved with Habitat for Humanity and has served on its Board of Directors or Advisory Board for the past 16 years. He also serves on the Board of Directors for Leadership Franklin and is a committee member of the Friends of Franklin Parks.
Rachael Meurrier – Senior Vice President
Medical and Professional Banking
Rachael began her banking career in 2005, joining a privately-held retail and commercial bank. Upon the bank’s acquisition of a Private Client team in 2006, Rachael transitioned from traditional branch operations into a Private Client role that would allow her to focus on credit, deposit account and loan structure, and concierge client service.
Over the past decade, Rachael has worked exclusively with medical and professional individuals, assisting them with home mortgages, personal loans, business acquisitions, deposit account needs, and a wide spectrum of other banking products.
Rachael has a B.B.A. in Managerial Finance from the University of Mississippi. She is married to Nick and they have one daughter. The Meurriers have traveled to over 15 National Parks, and love to play frisbee golf. Rachael serves as Triumph’s primary sponsorship liaison for the Middle Tennessee Association of Financial Planners, and she’s an active member of the Williamson County Chamber of Commerce. Rachael also coordinates Triumph’s Nashville area community partner relationships, including The Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt and Youth Villages.
Kent Stone – Vice President
Retail Mortgage Manager
After attending the University of Mississippi and gaining 15 years of experience in customer service, Kent launched his mortgage banking career in 2006. In his role as Triumph’s Vice President and Retail Mortgage Manager, Kent offers experienced insight on refinance and purchase-money solutions. With his 12 years’ tenure in the mortgage arena, Kent is an expert on financing primary residences, secondary homes, and investment properties. Paired with Triumph’s comprehensive suite of mortgage solutions, Kent is able to offer a variety of products including conventional conforming, jumbo, FHA, VA, and USDA mortgage loans.
Sam Roberts – Vice President – Commercial Underwriting
Sam Roberts is a Vice President of Triumph Bank. He brings 11 years of real estate and commercial banking experience in the Nashville market with a focus in credit underwriting and portfolio management. As a commercial lender, he works with real estate and commercial clients to find the right banking solutions to fulfill each client’s needs.
Sam graduated with a B.B.A. in Banking and Finance from Mississippi State University. Sam lives in the Nolensville community with his wife and two children. In his free time, Sam coaches with the South Nashville Little League and enjoys playing golf.
Hannah McGraw – Banking Officer
Private Client Banking
Hannah serves as a Private Client Banking Officer for Triumph Bank. Beginning her banking career in 2015, Hannah spent several years as a consumer credit analyst, partnering with clients and lenders to facilitate a variety of personal and small business loan requests. With this experience, Hannah was tapped to help launch Triumph’s first Middle Tennessee office in early 2018. As a Private Client Banking Officer, Hannah specializes in both Medical and Professional Banking as well as Sports and Entertainment Banking to assist individuals with their mortgage, loan, and deposit account needs.
Hannah graduated from Mississippi State University in May 2013 with a BBA in Business Management and a second in Marketing. She serves on the Board of Directors for Monroe Harding and as a high school student leader at Cross Point Church. Hannah has been an active member of the Williamson County Chamber since 2018.
Mary Blair McCreary – Banking Center Coordinator
Mary Blair launched her banking career in 2015 as a client service advisor for a local Nashville bank. In this collaborative position, Mary Blair became the local liaison for personal and business banking operations, helping navigate client’s needs, bank products, and branch operations. With this vast knowledge, Mary Blair joined Triumph’s Middle Tennessee team as a Private Banking Associate in February of 2018 where she now coordinates the market’s branch operations.
Mary Blair graduated from the University of Mississippi in 2012 with a B.B.A. in Marketing. She is an active member of the Junior League of Nashville and enjoys supporting local community initiatives.
Warren Carter – Commercial Credit Analyst
Warren serves as a commercial credit analyst and is a Franklin, Tennessee native. He kicked off his banking career in 2015 at a community bank in Chattanooga, Tennessee, before joining the Triumph team in July 2019. Warren graduated from Tennessee Tech University where he received his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in Finance. Warren is passionate about entrepreneurship and loves to see small businesses thrive. In his spare time, Warren enjoys cheering on the Nashville Predators, playing his guitar, and trying new restaurants.
Kyle Vaughn – Relationship Banker
Kyle began his banking career in Memphis, his hometown, as a Universal Banker. In July of 2019, he moved to Nashville and joined Triumph as a Relationship Banker. He graduated in December 2016 from the University of Tennessee-Knoxville, where he earned his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in Finance and a minor in International Business. Outside of the office, Kyle dedicates himself as a YoungLife leader at Brentwood Academy, enjoys sports, the outdoors, and explores Nashville.
