On Tuesday, October 3rd, scores of Memphis’ most promising business leaders convened at the FedEx Institute of Technology at the University of Memphis to learn more about developing a successful exit strategy for their businesses.
Keynote speaker Rob Wolfe, a Certified Business Exit Consultant and President & CEO of Integritas Transition Consultants in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, flew in to share his mass of expertise on the often mystical subject of transitioning a business to a family member, selling to a third party, merging with a competitor, and the many other ways to exit a business.
Having owned and sold many businesses himself, Wolfe was able to provide a breadth of information that was only paralleled by the local panel of experts that followed his keynote. Triumph was joined by Founder & Former President of Comtrak Logistics, Michael J. Bruns, CEO & Senior Partner of The Marston Group, PLC, J. Kenneth “Chip” Marston, Member of Farris Bobango, PLC, Marye Helen Owen, Partner & Head of Private Banking at Brown Brothers Harriman, Jeffrey Meskin, and Chairman of Power Logistics & Freight Service, LLC, Mitchell Spurlock, as well as Wolfe himself to share their perspectives on buying, selling, and all of the steps in between from the points of a CPA, a lawyer, an investment banker, and business owners who sold their companies successfully.
The keynote and panel were followed by a wine & beer reception that allowed everyone to speak to the panelists and ask specific questions as they pertained to their goals and concerns, providing a comprehensive guide to preparing an exit strategy that will benefit all parties involved.
Triumph thanks everyone who attended this flagship event, especially Rob Wolfe and Jeffrey Meskin, who traveled from Florida and New York, respectively, to speak on the panel.
