Triumph’s third quarter this year saw so many outstanding accomplishments by our team that we couldn’t just have one Employee of the Quarter – we needed two! Read on to learn why Mortgage Closing Manager Lisa Short was awarded this honor.
Tell us a little bit about yourself.
LS: I’m married to Charley Short with one adult son, Christopher. I enjoy painting and doing crafts. I volunteer my time at 51 South Foundation which operates to house, educate, and redeem victims of human trafficking where my husband is the Director of Operations.
Describe your typical day at Triumph.
LS: My typical day at Triumph Mortgage is anything but typical. It’s extremely fast-paced, every file we receive is urgent, and not reaching our deadline is not an option. I manage a team of 3 super-stars and I also close loans as well. I coordinate my staff as well as loan officers, processors, closing agents, borrowers, and post-closing processes to ensure our loans close on time and without issue. I work very hard to ensure we are in compliance and have no issue transferring our loans to the next investor.
What’s the best part of your job?
LS: The best part of my job is two-fold: the sense of accomplishment when we come together as a team to save the day as well as when we break new volume records and exceed goals. I love the ability to problem solve and I am a naturally competitive person. This position does not fail to deliver opportunities for both.
What do you enjoy most about working at Triumph?
LS: What I enjoy most about working for Triumph is the opportunity to buy-in to the vision as well as contribute to it. To be able to express my opinion and influence change. To be heard.
Here are a few reasons why Lisa was named Employee of the Quarter:
“Lisa is a hard worker. She is very knowledgeable and is an asset to Triumph Mortgage.”
“She is always going above and beyond for our settlement agents and loan officers. She always ensures that all documents are sent correctly the first time and if they need to be revised she ensures they get done in a timely manner. She ensures her team that she manages has the tools they need and the resources available to them to succeed and perform.”
Thank you for all that you do to help Triumph grow, Lisa!
