Hilliard Crews – Chairman
Hilliard Crews is the Chairman of the Board of Triumph Bancshares, Inc. and Triumph Bank. He is the Founder, CEO, and sole stockholder of Shelby Group International, a manufacturer and distributor of industrial gloves, safety glasses and related products worldwide. He also serves on the boards of Cedar Technologies and
University of Memphis.
William J. Chase, Jr. – President & Chief Executive Officer
Will Chase is the President, Chief Executive Officer and Founding Board Member of Triumph Bank. He brings with him 36 years of commercial and retail banking experience in the Greater Memphis area. Will’s focus on building relationships within the community is evident through his many contributions in the business, civic and education arenas. He is a member of the American Bankers Association’s Community Bankers Council and a past Board member of the Tennessee Bankers Association. Will is a member of the Economic Club of Memphis and a Board member and Vice President of Chickasaw Country Club. He also serves at Concord Academy, a school for special needs students, where he is a past Board member and Chairman of the Board of Trustees.
Will received a B.A. in History and Business Administration from Vanderbilt University and also attended University College of Oxford University in Oxford, England. Will is also a graduate of the National Commercial Lending School of American Bankers Association.
Will and his wife of 30 years, Mary Ellen, have a son, John, and daughter, Mary Catherine. They attend Independent Presbyterian Church where Will serves as an Elder.
Doug Collins is the Founder, President and CEO of Coldwell Banker Collins-Maury and Sovereign Homes, LLC. He has served as President of the Memphis Area Association of REALTORS, The Tennessee Association of REALTORS and The Memphis Area Home Builders Association.
Jason Crews founded Crews Realty in 1999, which has constructed and developed more than $30 million in residential, commercial and industrial properties. He serves on the Board of Shelby Group International, and is a member of the Memphis Area Association of Realtors and Homebuilders Association.
Mark J. Halperin
Mark is the Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Boyle Investment Company. Having served at Boyle since 1973, Mark oversees the leasing and management in excess of two million square feet of full-service “Class A” office space throughout the Greater Memphis area. He is the Past President of the Memphis Builders Owners and Managers Association and past chairman of the Memphis Area Chamber of Commerce Developers Council.
Mark is a graduate of the University of Tennessee and has received the Certified Property Manager designation from the Institute of Real Estate Management and the SIOR designation from the Society of Industrial and Office Realtors.
Mr. Halperin is active in serving the Memphis community. He was appointed by the city and county mayors to serve on the Economic Development Growth Engine (EDGE) for Memphis and Shelby County. He serves on the Executive Committee for the Memphis Jewish Home. He is also Past President of Temple Israel of Memphis, on the Board of Trustee and Executive Committee of the Union of Reform Judaism, and is a member of the Board of Trustees of Memphis University School.
Mark is a founding member of the Triumph Board of Directors and serves on the Executive, Loan and Property Committees.
Rick Masson is a Project Consultant. He previously served as the Executive Director of Shelby Farms Park Conservancy, as Chief Administrative Officer and Finance Director for the City of Memphis, and serves as Utility Board Chairman for MLGW.
Michael J. McCarver – Executive Vice President & COO
Michael J. McCarver is Executive Vice President and COO of Triumph Bank. He has over 36 years in financial services with a primary focus on starting and managing bank operations. In addition to earning his MBA, Mike is a graduate of the BIA School of Banking in Bank Operations and Administration. His experience and management expertise have been instrumental to Triumph’s success since
Dr. Joseph Mirabile
Dr. Joseph Mirabile is President of Mirabile Investment Corporation, a diversified real estate and restaurant development/operating company with extensive holdings in four states. He operates 50 Mid South restaurants, has developed numerous commercial properties, and served on the faculties at three major universities.
Larry W. Papasan
Larry W. Papasan is the Retired President of MLGW and Smith & Nephew Orthopaedics. He is currently Chairman of
David C. Perdue – Founding Board Member and Shareholder Emeritus
David C. Perdue is Chairman and CEO of Asentinel LLC, a software company that is a pioneer in the Telecom Expense Management (TEM) industry. He was founder of several telecom companies, including Telecommunications Systems of America, Inc. (TSA), a major regional interconnect company that engineered and installed the complete multi-million dollar communication system for Phillips Petroleum’s North Sea oil drilling operation, as well as ATS Telephone & Data Systems, Inc. and ATS Financial Services, Inc., both of which were sold in 1998 to what is now Avaya, one of the world’s largest telecommunications suppliers.
Mr. Perdue is very active in his community and his church, having served in various leadership capacities. He presently serves on the Board of Visitors of the University of Memphis and serves on the Investment Committee & Master Planning Committee. He was a member of the Business Advisory Council of Rhodes College and a Trustee of Christian Brothers University, serving as Chairman of the Education Committee and a member of the Executive and Finance Committees. He was a board member of Junior Achievement of Memphis and was named the University of Memphis Business Alumni of the Year in 1994. In 2006, he was named as Executive of the Year by the International Association of Administrative Professionals. He is a former Sunday school teacher and past Chairman of Deacons at Bellevue Baptist Church. Mr. Perdue also served as Vice Chairman of the Board of the Shelby County Healthcare Corporation that operates The Med. He also was a Board member of ServiceU.com, a software firm.
Mr. Perdue was a founding member of the Triumph Board of Directors. He served on the Marketing, Investment and Personnel Committees. He and his wife, Susan, attend Bellevue Baptist Church and love to travel.
Richard L. Powell
Richard L. Powell is a principal of Harris Madden & Powell, Inc., an independent insurance agency. He has been in the insurance business for over 26 years and is active in various insurance industry and related business trade groups and councils.
King is currently Of Counsel with Glankler Brown, PLLC, with a concentration in the areas of commercial transactions and banking and has extensive experience in real estate development. He earned his BS in Business Administration from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville in 1969, and earned his JD degree in 1972 from Emory University in Atlanta. He is a member of the American Bar Association, the Tennessee Bar Association, and the Memphis Bar Association. He has been on the Triumph Board of Directors since its inception in 2006.
King’s community involvement includes serving on the University of Tennessee Foundation Board of Directors, UT Knoxville College of Business Dean’s Advisory Council, the UT President’s Council and a past member of the UT Board of Trustees. He is active in, and former president of, the Rotary Club of Memphis East, and is a Past District Governor of Rotary District 6800. King has also served on the boards of Hutchison Girls School, Methodist Hospitals Foundation, Methodist Health System and Methodist Hospitals of Memphis, Dixon Gallery and Gardens, and the American Cancer Society. He is a past member of the Tennessee Governor’s Roundtable. King is a member of Second Presbyterian Church where he has served as a Deacon and serves on the church’s Foundation Stewardship Committee.
King is an original member of the Triumph Board of Directors and serves on the Investment and Personnel Committees.
King and his wife, Judy, have two children, Katherine and King (wife Camille), and two grandchildren.
Mitchell is the Chairman and Founder of Power Transport and Power Freight, Chairman and Founder of Aqua Chempac and President of Magnolia Paper. Mitchell serves on many Boards of Directors such as Crews Venture Lab, Liberty Bowl, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, and Diversified Maintenance Systems of Tampa where he is also a Partner. Mitchell is also a Trustee on the Board of Visitors at University of Memphis.
Mr. Spurlock has been on the Triumph Board of Directors since 2006 and serves on the Budget, Executive, Marketing, Personnel and Property Committees at Triumph.
He and his wife, Janet, and daughter, Lauren Wichell, attend Harvest Christian Church. Mitchell’s hobbies include golf and scuba diving.
Thomas Stovall, MD – Founding Board Member and Shareholder Emeritus
Thomas Stovall, MD, MBA is a founding partner of Women’s Health Specialist, PLLC in Germantown. Dr. Stovall is listed as one of Good Housekeeping magazine’s 400 Best Doctors for Women, and was named as one of Memphis’ top doctors by Memphis Magazine. He has also been named as one of the “Top Physicians” in Obstetrics and Gynecology by Consumers’ Research Council of America and was selected by his peers in Best Doctors in America for the last
Dr. Stovall graduated from David Lipscomb University in Nashville, Tennessee. He obtained his Medical Degree from the University of Tennessee, Memphis. He then completed an Internship and Residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology, and Pelvic Surgery Fellowship at the University of Tennessee, Memphis. Dr. Stovall was recruited to Bowman Gray School of Medicine of Wake Forest University where he held the position of Head of Gynecology from 1992-1997. During his tenure there, Dr. Stovall completed his MBA degree at the Babcock School of Management of Wake Forest University.
Dr. Stovall has served on the Triumph Board of Directors since 2006 and serves on the Triumph Investment, Audit and Budget Committees.
Dr. Stovall and his wife, Donna, have three sons, Elliott, Chris and Nick. He and his family attend Harvest Church. Dr. Stovall is President of the Board of the Warrior Center, a faith-based drug alcohol treatment facility and serves on the Board of Point of Impact and Global
