Triumph In The News

Burnetta Williams is Corporate Vice President and Treasurer of Fedex Corporation. We have also been very proud to have her as a member of our board of directors since we were founded in 2006.

Burnetta also serves on the board of Girls, Inc. of Memphis, a role she cherishes dearly. Her involvement has been instrumental in helping Girls, Inc.® grow, and has also inspired Triumph Bank to join her in support of this very worthwhile organization.

The mission of Girls, Inc.® “is to provide a vision of confidence and self-sufficiency and to provide the means for making the vision a reality for girls, inspiring all girls to become Strong, Smart, and Bold.” Girls, Inc.® has a vision “to be the premier organization that helps all girls realize their potential and exercise their rights.”

Founded in 1946, Girls, Inc.® continues to offer a variety of after school programs for girls ages 6-18 in a safe, fun and educational environment. This includes field trips, college tours and numerous other programs offered at its 6 centers across Memphis. Girls, Inc.® of Memphis has continually furthered its goal to build a girl’s capacity for college preparedness, confident and responsible adulthood, economic independence and personal fulfillment.

Recently, several Triumph Bank employees attended the organization’s 65th anniversary luncheon at Christ United Methodist Church. Shown in the photo are Girls, Inc.® participants Mauri and Deandra who we were honored to have at our table. “Anyone will agree, there is nothing more important than helping young people in our community,” said Triumph President Will Chase. “Count on us to continue our support of this organization and the great work Burnetta is doing.”
